Submission on the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children
July 31, 2026
We call for the Second Action Plan to prioritise the needs of First Nations women, to embed measurable targets and accountability mechanisms, and to include meaningful legal system reform. We advocate for reform in relation to each of our priority campaign areas.

Response to the Preventing Perpetrators from Accessing Victims’ Super Death Benefits Consultation paper
April 15, 2026
We called for reforms that would give superannuation funds discretion to prevent perpetrators of domestic and family violence from accessing the death benefit of their victim.
We welcomed the review as an opportunity to address the unintended consequences of the new laws that prevent women from accessing entitlements including paid domestic and family violence leave, flexible working conditions and the right to disconnect.
We called for an evaluation of how the ‘affirmative consent’ reforms are operating in practice and implementation of measures to protect the rights and dignity of victim-survivors during the criminal process.
